Elm Hurst Inn, Ingersol, Ontario
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION at Ingersol in 2014!
The Second Biannual Canadian Birdstrike Workshop will be held October 8 and 9 2014. Carrying on the tradition started by the Associate Committee on Bird Hazards to Aircraft and carried on by Birdstrike Committee Canada, Birdstrike Canada’s pre-eminent event of the year promises to be an informative and motivating forum for making progress on key wildlife management issues facing Canada’s airports today. Built around eight 1.5 h workshops, key topics will be presented and discussed to develop a deeper understanding of approaches, options, successes (and failures), research needs and future directions. This is not a conference with paper after paper followed by a few questions, it’s a role-up-your-sleeves working session to explore the issues and the path forward. It is a great opportunity to get to know your Canadian colleagues, learn from experts in the field, share what you know and come away with a sense of community, partnership and progress.
We have selected a great venue for the workshop — the Elm Hurst Inn built into an historic mansion with stunning grounds in rural Ontario midway between Windsor and Toronto. Unlike our previous workshop, this will be an all-inclusive event. Registration fees will include conference costs, accommodation, all meals and refreshment breaks, taxes and gratuities. I understand the food is terrific. All you need to do is show up on the front door and we will look after you for 2 days of workshop mixed with some fun and great conversation.
