The Red Arrows are believed to have been hit by a third bird strike in as many weeks, according to an unconfirmed report. It has been reported the Red 8 jet hit the bird during Farnborough Air Show in Hampshire today, although the incident has not yet been confirmed by the RAF. In the last fortnight, Red 6 and Red 7 have both been involved in similar incidents at RAF Waddington Air Show and during a validation exercise for Farnborough. In such circumstances the planes are forced to ground for safety reasons so that damage can be assessed.
